of UC, for example, who is famous for his serenading ;-)
But this time I thought it's time again to do a 
'Best of DJ Erika and DJ Imdy singing' ... 
once more ;-)

It's always so much fun to have both of them around ... and even more precious, as they aren't my reg DJs anymore, but jump in now and then to cover.

There are days where I'm glad to have my Fraps ready in time when I enter Sanctuary Rock for my shift after UC's shift ... hehe

and as SL ... or my pc or my dsl-connection or whatever ... was trying to drive me crazy by hardly letting me talk in public chat ... and even IMs were pita ... kinda all weekend long ... and not letting me say a proper 'thank you' ...

Single Frame Stories - Positive

Oh Bugger ... 2 posts in 1 day ... 

but that's one reason I love weekends ... plenty of time to do what I like ;-)

And today I was in the mood to try something I had seen on Goro Fujita's blog once and wanted to try it myself since then ...

Now I'm not an expert and artist like Goro ... but I had a lot of fun in my darkened room ... waving with a little torch ... and trying to 'paint' my idea for this week's Single Frame Stories prompt

POSITIVE

'Be Positive' ... for my dear jaded friend ... I know it's easier said then done ... and I wish I knew how to help ... how to make my optimism contagious ... I'll keep on wrecking your nerves by telling it to you ;-)

I'm kinda trying to chase away the dark demons of depression by some positve lights ... looks like I cannot fully succeed ... but I'll keep waving my lil torch ....

For the final pic I chose is a collage of 2 of my light paintings ... edited in Gimp

Looks like a nice winter hobby ... when it's easier to  darken the room ... still a lot to be learned and I guess a litlle directing help would be fine too ... lol

30 Days of Gratitude - 24

YaY ... I still got so many reasons to be grateful ... I I hardly find the time to post them ....

but one day ... one day ... I'll have all 30 posted ... promised ... lol

Today I pack several reasons for gratitude into one huge 

THANK YOU !!!!!!

YaY - the nice surprise ... and it really was a surprise that got me totally out of nowhere ... that my fav Hoochie kinda gave to me ...

I was kinda just a few minutes out of bed this morning ... had quickly prepared for my event ... and well ... dressed matching the Reefer Madness Event ... headed over to Sanctuary Rock where I was fighting my personal lag a bit, while enjoying the rest of the set of DJ Locke, a guest DJ that I loved to listen to in the beginning of my SL and SR days ... I perved around to check who I had missed greeting ... when I suddenly wondered where the heck my avi was ... I couldn't see any green hair on the dancfloor ... nor anyone who looked like me ... I saw Guen and UC and Locke and rainnlyn and quite a number of patrons ... and a grey bunny standing like a stupido near the place where I thought I would dance ...

wait ... why doesn't have that bunny a tag or a name on it ... why did I always see that stupid bunny with the ebil red eyes whenever I hit ESC ...?

Wait ... no ... please noooooooo ... that bunny was  ... ME !!!!

Now I gotta apologize  to Guen for not reacting when  she handed me the host tag ... I was desperately trying to get back into my real self ... while it dawned on me that I had been under the spell of the ebil Hoochie ... I had clicked a link she had sent quite some minutes ago (and I had wondered only for a sec why no browswer window had opened and blamed it on the lag ... lol)

Imdy ... me lubs you .. that was the most funny and strange thing I had when totally not expecting it ;-)

YaY - for the coolest club in Second Life .... Sanctuary Rock ;-)

- they made me feel quite old when they dedicated an event to me, cause I'm part of it for more than 4 years ... that's almost grandma in SL ... lol

it was the LOONY Avatar party ... such a matching theme ...  I simply had to go as burning matches ;-)

and look at that awesome huge smile that was UC ... and the tasty cup of coffee (or even tea) that was Guen ... and Santa Austin ... it was big fun ;-)))

-  we had an awesome week celebrating the 6th anniversary of Sanctuary Rock ... with guest hosts and guest DJs ... the Staff and VIP Auction (it was the expected disaster for me ... lol ... but YaY ... Lainey saved me) ... a DJ Battle (too bad I could only listen to those cool DJs for 1 hour before hugging my pillow) ... and a live band (unfortunately at a time where europeans like me usually sleep deep and happily)...

I think we will need a month celebrating the 10th anniversary in 4 years ;-)

Single Frame Stories - Illumination - #2

kk ... this Single Frame Stories Challenge is causing quite a fuzz in my head ... 

pic after pic crosses my inner eye and want's to be released ... *grins*

So you get my second entry for the Challenge ...

no bony guy this time ;-) ... no SL-pic

Instead I grabbed a very soft pencil and tried to get the pic from my mind onto a blank postcard sized bit of paper ...

And while doing so, lots of stories came to my mind ... what happened before the pic ... what will be next ...

I might make a movie clip about it sooner or later ;-)

For now I had lots of fun drawing ;-)

The darkness of the original idea didn't come out as intended, but thnx to some very helpful tips from myfrench LoonAtic Dom (he really got an eye for such things)= some darkening/ shadows and such in Gimp, I'm quite happy with it ;-)

And from what I've seen so far ... this weeks entries (for 'illumination') are really impressing ... 

so ... check out the Single Frame Stories Gallery which will be published on Saturday ...

and I can hardly wait for the next prompt ;-)

30 Days of Gratitude - Day 18

yep ... that's me in the pic above ...

well my Battlestar Galactica Online character at least ... lol

My french LoonAtic, Dom, asked me to join him in the game he was just testing ...

I'm no gamer ... at least I usually don't play shooter ... 

and I'm miserable at any game-controls ... I can hardly walk in SL ... ;-P

So I had a bit of a hard time ... trying to get it working ... it actually didn't really work ... 

I mostly hung in the middle of the vast SPACE ... or simply got lost there ... like in this pic ... 

But the graphics are coooooooool ... and as long as I don't have to fight and can just fly around like a mad woman ... it's quite nice

So ... if you ever play this game ... and are on the Virgon-Server ... watch out for the Cylon 'LoonyMay' ... your mission could be in danger if I'm any near ;-P

so ... coming to a point (the only important point actually) ...

I'm super grateful for DOM to be my friend, no matter if we play, talk, listen to music, share silence or just do nothing ;-)

30 Days of Gratitude - 17

Well ... today's just been a normal workday ... and I'm grateful it's over ;-P

but I have to catch up with yesterday ... some more stuff to be grateful for ... 

YaY for DJ Ariana, who did a great job at the 10pm, even tho a guy in the club was giving her a hard time.

It was fun to have her spinning ... and if I got it right, she will be there next weekend too ... YaY

a double YaY for the midnight shift, which I couldn't resist grabbing because ....

Erika was the DJ ;-))))))))))))

Erika and Imdy ... almost like in the days of old ;-)

it was soooo cool to hear her giggle ... and sing ;-) ... again.

and of course I frapped it ... so I'll have one more clip of the category 'Singing DJs' soon ;-P

and I also enjoyed that Imdy, Seven, Poppy, Krista and others were around too ...

4 hours at Sanct passed away like nothing that morning ;-P

and a tripple YaY for those kind Co-Bloggers and folks who read and even commented on my posts ;-))

when I don't feel well all day long ... 

when I could sleep since the moment I woke up ...

it's not that easy to be grateful ... lol

So it's YaY for my bed and my pillow again ;-P

oh ... and I'm grateful that I had Silver as my DJ ... 

even tho it was only for a few events

until someone thought he/she had to complain about her talking too much and so she resigned from her DJ job ;-(

What a damn bullshit ... cause it was so much fun to listen to her ... 

I LOVE when DJs talk and laugh and not just announce the songs ... or even worse ... don't talk at all ...

I want to feel a human spinning ... And Silver did that in a kickass way

I'll miss her, but I hope she'll be around as a guest still ... at least when DJ Net is on duty ;-)

30 Days of Gratitude - 1

kk ... I didn't blog for a while ... but I still look at blogs from other folks ...
and today I found an interesting challenge on Guen's blog ...
(and prolly originally started by Anubis Darkwatch)

30 days to write down the good sides of a day ... instead of complaining about what's been bad ...
well ... that might rather be more interesting for me than for anyone else ... but this blog sometimes is rather a kind of diary of a bad writer anyway ;-P
So today was a rather crap day ... what better reason to start with gratitude?

* ... cause rehearsal was cancelled today, I had more time to have a chat with my french loonatic, Dom ... who used spanish inquisition, the Fermi-Paradoxon, Cosmic Calender, Monty Python's Universe Song, Boulet's latest post, etc. to cheer me up ;-)

* I accidently have torn down a lot of stuff from a shelf in a supermarket, how embarrassing, but so what ... it gave a bystander something to grin ... kk ... now I can smile about it too ;-)

* and I had the most tasty Ruccola-Mozarella-Pizza when I got home in the evening ...

sorry nothing left now ;-)
(oups ... guess that's not really gratitude)

* and the last good thing for tonight: THANX it's almost weekend ;-)))

YaY ... now I'm curious what tomorrow will bring ...

52WoC-II - #11 - Aquamarine

erm .. well ... I actually had an idea for an outfit for Aquamarine, this week's colour of Luna's colour challenge Round 2 ...

I had even started do draw half of that outfit in gimp ... almost finished the shirt part and then ran out of time/got stuck/whatever ... and finally put it on my list for things to do when chicken grow teeth (as Dom puts it *grins*)

Anyway ... my shift last Saturday at Sanctuary Rock, with BLUE as event theme, helped me to still get a pic for this week ... erm ... kinda ... 

I'm sure there's some Aquamarine somewhere in the blues of my skirt ... erm ... maybe on the inner layers of the skirt ;-P ... one of my fav skirts actually ;-))

And even tho I was afraid of crashing, I was glad to have turned on fraps just in time to catch UC singing again and to put the cream topping on that gorgeous Sunday morning, he even played one of my fav songs from one of my fav bands ;-)))

YEP ... I thought I hop into the 2nd round Luna's 52-Weeks-of-Colour-Challenge as it's a tenner and I have a bit of a lazy weekend ;-P

NOPE ... no movie or any other co-operation with Rudh, unfortunately ... I didn't have enough time for that ... but I hope for some messing up my lil netbook with her help sooner or later this year ... still 42 chances left, right ? ... ;-)

Today was the last time I had Erika as my reg DJ ;-( ... 

I had the pleasure to spend most of my early Sunday mornings (10pm-12am SLT/7-9am my time) with her ... for more than 3 years ...

and in the end she made me wet my keyboard today ...

I'm gonna miss her (and her giggling and singing and 'ehm-ehm's) ... 

but there's still the hope that she'll jump in for cover now and then ;-)

Love Challenge - i LOVE my DJs

Ca. 2 weeks ago Luna had tossed out a mini challenge ... the LOVE Challenge, about what makes you happy in Second Life ...

Now I'm not that often in SL anymore, even thought of totally leaving ...

But one of the things that still keep me there are those DJ's I have the pleasure to work with during my host-shifts at Sanctuary Rock (and in earlier days at The C.O.R. , Static Sonant and CrusFX ) ...

I've had quite a lot of them already ... 

my Reg-DJs ... starting with Daisy and Azazeal who I unfortunately have only few pics of, somewhere deep down on my extern hd ... 

followed by Imdy, Drake, Alvena, Sundevildaddy at Sanct ... 

Hellbone and Marvel at the C.O.R. ... 

since ages and still fun: Erika ...

and since a few weeks and already fun: Netsurfer .......

and lots and lots of more cool DJs I had the pleasure with at an extra shift or who jumped in as a cover ...

UC, UNOME, Guen, Sarlah, Ozark, CrazyFlux, Troy, Acacia, Seven, Austin, Nathaniel, NIRVANA, Rob, Maddie, Missy, Hell, Knoppy, Kazuma, Unicorn, Lord Maxxius, Susi, Mirari, Kruze, Rykk, Ryun, Callie ... and I guess I still missed mentioning some ...

Anyway ... what I wanted to say ... 

even tho I don't talk much with my DJ during a shift and I'm not much of a big talker anyway (and sometimes wonder why the heck I'm a host ... lol)

it's always been and still is fun ...and I

LOVE YOU

cause you brighten so many weekend-mornings and some evenings too ;-)

and cause you make me break my chair by making me wiggle at home ;-)

and what I LOVE too is when the DJs start to SING ;-)))))))

52 Colours - #50 & 51 - Mulberry & Cream

A few days ago I got an invitation to watch an exclusive extraterrestrial fashion show ... 
So I put on a nice simple CREAM costume and got ready for a short trip to the stars ...
But when I had just stepped outside, I discovered a run in my new cream stockings ...
... DARN ...

but too late ... the show event of the year wouldn't wait for me ... 
so I grabbed the next tp ... ready for MULBERRY .....
Be invited to come with me and be amazed ... ;-))



I must admit ... when I saw Rudh's amazing dress, I wanted hide behind some planet far away ... what a gorgeous choice ... 
and as usual I have to thank her for all the patience with me ... it was fun tho to make her run up and down the catwalk ... ;-P

btw ... Rudh had suggested Marilyn Manson's 'Sweet Dreams' ... but when I accidently stumbled over Probot's 'Sweet Dreams' ... I just couldn't resist Dave Grohl and King Diamond ;-)
and I found out that I actually love to stand on a stage, in SL as well as in RL ... lol

Next week will be the last colour of Luna's 52 colours (wow ... how time passed by) ... ORANGE

But I'm lucky ... I still have 2 colours to catch up, both lil movies ... 
that should keep me busy till the challenge continues or till I find a new one ... lol

I heard Sundevildaddy sing ... UC enjoying everyone (damn, I usually miss recording him, cause it's early Sunday morning for me and the place is always packed, which means danger of crashing when running Fraps) ... Imdy performed the best song of the world ...
and today ... yay ... Erika did it again ;-))))
my Saturday morning (the friday midnight) was quite disastrous ... alarm rang too early, I had no DJ cause my new reg DJ Missy had an RL emergency, my recently pulled out tooth sent greetings from nirvana, mood was kinda at the bottom and crowd gone ... lol
Sunday morning was such a good contrast there ... lots of nice folks at the club, UC singing better than ever ;-), ltns Dylon and Bagor had stopped by, I crashed only once, I had Fraps ready (ty Imdy) ... and Erika did sing, well, tried inspite of all the giggling ... I so love that ...

52 Colours - # 40 & 41 - Apricot & Jazzberry

WOW ... I hadn't posted for about 2 weeks .. and now 2 posts (and 4 colours) in 1 day ;-))

and what's even better ... it's a tenner ... one of the 'every 10th' with Rudh ... 

a challenge within the challenge, cause Rudh threw down the proverbial gauntlet for me

and it only took me more than 4 weeks to finish it ... hehe

made me almost die from laughing several times ... you are warned hereby ...

So .. without further ado welcome Mr. Mayo and the Love of his Life

I'm pretty sure there isn't just Apricot in Rudh's breathtaking outfits (yep ... both of them *grins*), but in Mr. Mayo's vest too ... and the Jazzberry can be found in his cassis pop ... a drink I had found during my vacation visiting the Dutch and which I imported  right into SL. It's actually created from the can I brought with me ... it looks so cool (but the pop tastes ... well ... erm ... let's say, I don't need to drink it again ... hehe)

hm ... 2 more colours ... not bad, huh, ... it leaves me only 6 to catch up atm ... including #28 Pink ... which is causing me some unexpected problems ... but I cannot have Miss Laura18 Streeter look like THIS just because my bluebox thinks PINK is BLUE ....

But I'll get it sorted out before xmas ... PROMISED !!!
