Love Challenge - i LOVE my DJs

Ca. 2 weeks ago Luna had tossed out a mini challenge ... the LOVE Challenge, about what makes you happy in Second Life ...

Now I'm not that often in SL anymore, even thought of totally leaving ...

But one of the things that still keep me there are those DJ's I have the pleasure to work with during my host-shifts at Sanctuary Rock (and in earlier days at The C.O.R. , Static Sonant and CrusFX ) ...

I've had quite a lot of them already ... 

my Reg-DJs ... starting with Daisy and Azazeal who I unfortunately have only few pics of, somewhere deep down on my extern hd ... 

followed by Imdy, Drake, Alvena, Sundevildaddy at Sanct ... 

Hellbone and Marvel at the C.O.R. ... 

since ages and still fun: Erika ...

and since a few weeks and already fun: Netsurfer .......

and lots and lots of more cool DJs I had the pleasure with at an extra shift or who jumped in as a cover ...

UC, UNOME, Guen, Sarlah, Ozark, CrazyFlux, Troy, Acacia, Seven, Austin, Nathaniel, NIRVANA, Rob, Maddie, Missy, Hell, Knoppy, Kazuma, Unicorn, Lord Maxxius, Susi, Mirari, Kruze, Rykk, Ryun, Callie ... and I guess I still missed mentioning some ...

Anyway ... what I wanted to say ... 

even tho I don't talk much with my DJ during a shift and I'm not much of a big talker anyway (and sometimes wonder why the heck I'm a host ... lol)

it's always been and still is fun ...and I

LOVE YOU

cause you brighten so many weekend-mornings and some evenings too ;-)

and cause you make me break my chair by making me wiggle at home ;-)

and what I LOVE too is when the DJs start to SING ;-)))))))

My Bye to the C.O.R.

Usually I would have just finished my Friday 1-3pm shift hosting at the C.O.R. ...
but those times are gone ...
The Colosseum of Rock has closed it's doors last sunday ... ;-(
It's been a fine, cozy , friendly place ...
with cool owners and awesome stuff ...
and the chance to be creative in many ways ...
Sure there have been ups and downs as everywhere ...
but I mostly felt at home at the C.O.R. ...
So I'd like to send a big hug to zaza, Maxxius, Oz, pat, Mystra, Hellbone, Marvel, Noa, Noah, Tyn, fireblabe, rhudmellow, lemoning, Shay, Dante, Rob, Bleuwitch, Rykk and whoever I met and worked with at the C.O.R. ...
I'm sure we'll meet at some other clubs again ...

Oz comes and takes it all away ... *grins* ...

Weekends should always be like this ;-))

mmmmhhhhh ... I love when I had a fun weekend ... and it's not even over ;-))))
though it started a bit melancholic for me ... my fault ... I shouldn't suggest an event theme like Candle Light Rock ... and then feel a bit lonely when I see couples there slowdancing ... lol
anyway ... it was fun ... hehe ... didn't think that Hell would play romantic songs almost all the time ... ;-P

For my Friday midnight event it was great to have Drake covering the open DJ spot (big TY) ...
and with an all time favourite like PORNSTAR-Party ... it was a blast ... 19 voters !!!
and lots of funny talk ... ;-))
I just wish I could get a regular DJ for the midnight again ... so I won't have to ask in staff chat 20 min before the event ...

a rather short night before my Saturday 10pm ... thanx to Maxx ... lol ...
he had invited me to some cam chat ... and as I haven't used a cam and headset for ages ... he had to be quite patient with a stupido like me ... *grins*
but it was so much fun ... (phew ... good that I don't have to pay charges for using that word so often) ... and great to see the real person behind an avatar ;-)))
And that reminds me that I got to send a very big TY and hug to Maxx ... for giving me the chance to keep a last LoonAtic Wear Store ... The C.O.R. is just the place to be ... great staff and friendly atmosphere ... check it out ;-)))

So I thought I would be a bit tired at the 10pm ... and with the Pyjama-Party (and still wearing a pyji in RL) just the right theme ... but Erika kept everyone rocking again ... and a fun crowd ... time was passing so fast that I almost missed official Perv time ... lol
post-edit: hehe ... Erika was so PINK and BLOND ... I first didn't recognize her ... but all the green here was caused by Dart Fhang ... and no, it might look like that, but I wasn't drunk ... *grins*

So ... with still quite some Sunday left for me ... and tasty brownies and coffee waiting ;-P ...
all I wish is that I could send some of that fun to my sad friend ...

So I had a rather melancholic start into the day ...
I removed my mainstore, my belongings, my home ... from Volkov ...
and buried it deep into my invent ...

HeHe ... I bet Dylon drank a cold beer instead of a nice red wine ... but that's fine by me too ;-P

So I found this 365 idea in Guen's blog this morning and thought, 'cool idea ... I might try something like that too' ...
I will not do it as posts, but you'll find it as a gadget in the side-bar ...
showing pix of my SLme or RLme ... sometimes maybe just pix that express my mood ...
or whatever comes to my mind that I wanna show you ... or which I just want to keep as a memory ... lot of pix from my mobile I guess, as I usually have it with me ... hopefully on a daily basis ... *grins* ... so stay tuned if you like ;-)

Oz, Maxxius, lemoning, HellBone (and maybe Tyn) ...each with his own host ...
playing themed songs to challenge audience and the other DJs as well ...

Ch Ch Ch Changes ...

... even my pea brain is capable of revising plans ...
So I knocked on Tempest's door again and asked if could pull out from pull-out ...
and yep ... she agreed ... phew ... ;-P
so my event spots will be set on 'temp filling' for a while and I'll still do them when there's no cover ...
giving up my home/mainstore and the shop at Sanct was inevitable ...
but for hosting a bit of a break should do as well ... I'd miss it too much on the long run ...

One thing I'll definately miss is Drake dj-ing my Friday midnights/ Saturday mornings ... it was his last time today ... he's too busy now with managing ... and it always meant quite a late night for him ...
So I gotta visit some of his other shifts to hear that smexy voice again ...
wonder who will be my next new reg midnight DJ ...

I quit my job as a regular host at Sanct ...
so the next weekend will be my last regular one ...
(Ty to Tempest for keeping me as a floater ... so you might see my tiny ass now and then at the club)
I also close my shop at the Sanctuary Mall on wednesday ...
and I give up my mainstore and home at Volkov in a bit more than a week ...
not an easy thing to do ... got no choice tho ...

I'm tired of struggeling ...

I could give all the explanations that are going thru my head ...
but I'm tired of complaining too ...

I'm not leaving SL ... I'm still at the C.O.R. ... at least for a while ...

and I'll find a way back to enjoying it ... sooner or later ...

Bad and Good?

If I had written this post in the morning after my SR-shift as I had intended ...
it would have been a 'bad'/'good'-list ... weighing way more heavy on the 'bad' side ...
but I didn't ... due to a really bad mood caused by my damn ear-infection and the sad feeling, when I realised that I can pay next week's rent for either my mainstore or the Sanct shop only ...
Hard decision still to be made within the next 3 days ...
But after some boring housework and an afternoon spent talking to my french LoonAtic (mostly about something completly different from my SL-stuff)

it already started yesterday, when I wasn't able to concentrate on my shift at the C.O.R. ... with some RL-problems I had to face ... including an ignated terribly aching ear ...
I'm glad that my DJ HellBone was patient with me and Maxxius offered me to get a cover for me ... big thanx here to Noa for jumping in and to the other nice staff at the C.O.R. ;-)

Today didn't start well either ... when hubby's alarm accidently went off at 6.00 ... on the only morning of the week were I can sleep till almost 8.00 ...
and he kept pressing the stupid Snooze button ...
well, at least that way I could stop by at Mia's birthday party ... ;-))

At Sanct ... Drake with his cool tunes and smexy voice kept my mood from dropping deeper ...
I had a few talks that distracted me a bit, even one of a rather strange kind ...
and later darn RL work kept my weekend from being a real and enjoyable weekend ...
good to have a friend to get me out of that mood a bit ...bad, that he got in that mood right now and I can't be a real help ;-(

then my bloody hädäx came back ... again ... and I spent half the afternoon sleeping to get rid of it (didn't really work) ...

tasty breakfast and some family stuff later ...
houswork ;-( ... and fun ;-) ...
watching tv, baking a cake (the only housewife thing I love to do ... baking ... mmmmmhhhh ... working the dough with my hands, tasting it and that smell that's coming from the oven later .... makes me soooo hungry) ...

So it's really been a week since my last post ... damn lazy me... lol ...
that means a loooooong slideshow coming ...
especially since I had an extra event wednesday 10pm ... SuperSexy with DJ Drake and Friday's midnight of course with DJ Drake again ... Medical Mayhem ... I just LOVE this theme ... *grins*
and I could just faint when I hear Drake talk on air ... such a smexy voice ... great to have him kinda double that week ;-P
then Saturday 10p (which is actually my sunday morning) ... I had my usual Sunday Surprise DJ ... *grins* ... DJ Austin this time (kisses for covering) ... another super smexy DJ voice (a deep one here) ...
besides that those 2 DJs play awesome sets ... their voices alone would make me log in ;-P ...
Greetings to Erika here ... take a long deep sleep and get better soon ... *hugs*

Friday 1pm I was back to the C.O.R. ... and Marvel was back from vacation too, with a lil cold ... so I couldn't make him sing ...
but we had fun at the Sun, Moon and Stars-Party ... although I scared most folks away somehow ... *snigger*.
But the C.O.R. had an awesome decoration ... gave me a real Space-feeling ...

well ... and I got my good old (and slow) PC back ... only had to change the power supply unit.
But I must admit ... for my hosting in Sanct I still use hubby's laptop. It's just AWESOME to fly through the crowd with my PERV cam without getting stuck every 5 sec ... no slideshow feeling ... NO LAG ...
and so I dared to try something new (for me) ...
I enabled Basic Shaders ...
What a Difference ...
I've never seen Sanct or the look from my skyhome that way before ...
But oh oh oh ... I've never seen GLOW before either ...
I've always wondered about that slider when building ... tried it on max and nothing happened ... so I stopped playing with that ...
and I sometimes wondered about some very bright lights, when I saw myself on pics made by others (by Guen or Imdy for example) ...

That's how I would always like it ;-)

(actually I remember now that one nice patron once tried to ... but I didn't understand it then ... me pea-brain)
