30 Days of Gratitude - 23

o.o .... I'm bad at challenges this year ... 

I got nothing for Luna's colour challenge today, although Jonquil is quite a nice yellow ...

and I'm way behind in the 30 Days of Gratitude ... tho that doesn't mean I haven't been grateful at all ... 

I actually have been gratefull enough to fill weeks and I'll tell you about some of it sooner or later  ;-)

But today I'm YAY once more for one of those awesome DJs at Sanctuary Rock ...

You prolly know that I love my DJs ...my reg ones and those who fill in when needed ...

they are one of the main reasons I get up quite early every weekend ...

I already introduced you to singing DJs like UC and Netsurfer ... Seven and SDD ...Imdy and Erika

and now I got the one and only voice for you ... the guy who made the gals at SR scream and faint ;-)

I know ... I haven't posted much gratefulness lately ...
actually I haven't posted much at all anyway ...
the more grateful I am for 2 cool shifts at Sanctuary Rock this weekend ...
Friday Midnight (my Saturday morning) ... with DJ NET ...
YaY ... he finally heard my begging ... and SANG ... a whole song ;-)
and as Silver unfortunately missed it ...
and because Silver and Net are just an AWESOME team ...

... aren't they gorgeous?!?
I heard Sundevildaddy sing ... UC enjoying everyone (damn, I usually miss recording him, cause it's early Sunday morning for me and the place is always packed, which means danger of crashing when running Fraps) ... Imdy performed the best song of the world ...
and today ... yay ... Erika did it again ;-))))
my Saturday morning (the friday midnight) was quite disastrous ... alarm rang too early, I had no DJ cause my new reg DJ Missy had an RL emergency, my recently pulled out tooth sent greetings from nirvana, mood was kinda at the bottom and crowd gone ... lol
Sunday morning was such a good contrast there ... lots of nice folks at the club, UC singing better than ever ;-), ltns Dylon and Bagor had stopped by, I crashed only once, I had Fraps ready (ty Imdy) ... and Erika did sing, well, tried inspite of all the giggling ... I so love that ...

So I was in a daring mood yesterday ...
and tested the mesh-version of the Firestorm viewer even tho it's a Beta ...
I don't have any mesh stuff ... but I wanted to see Depth of Field !!!!
and hell yeah ... I LOVE it ... 
and if I had a stronger computer and not a netbook, I guess I'd never turn it off again ... lol
So you have to bear with my experimental versions of catching up colours ;-)

You know what, it might look promising to break thru your own brickwalls with the help of some tasty green (or other) alki stuff ...

amazing how life can be slowed down ... total loss of any hectic ... lol

... after my holiday break I'm back to hosting at Sanct ... and besides that almost everything there kinda changed while I was away ... I was glad to find that Imdy was my DJ for the Friday Midnight ... something that prolly will become rather rare in the future ....
I missed the tunes and the ppl during the last 2 weeks, but the connection on the campsite was rather poor ... lol
The more happy I was when Imdy announced the most beautiful song ever written by anyone ...

Today was one of those days ...
one of those weekends actually ...
that are better not remembered ...
tho one thing I was looking forward too was UC's 4 anniversary as DJ at Sanct ...
too bad that he's usually on when I'm still sleeping and so I only can grab the last minutes of his shift before my Sat 10pm event (my sunday morning) ...
But those minutes are always fun ... cool tunes and a hell of a singing DJ ...





















and I love when he says 'Looooooonatic Wear' ... ;-)
But today it only was a hell of a f... L.. (nope, I won't say those 4-letter words)
I couldn't even get my ballons out of my invent, could hardly move nor cam around ... sh...





















and if Imdy hadn't come to my rescue, I'd had the second party without DJ ...
later I got those damn messages for rental pay again, that reminded me that I might have to shut down my store again within the next weeks ...
but hey ... looking at all those fashion blogs lately I think it doesn't belong anywhere on the grid anyway ...

Oh ... and I found out on xmas that it's not just Imdy ... aka Richard Simmons ... aka Dr. Phil .... no ... It's god who is my DJ now ... *grins*
So I grabbed the pure ebil femal weekend power out of the slideshow ...

erm ... maybe I shouldn't say anthing ...

... about the once again remodeled Sanctuary Rock ...
but when I come home after a very long day I'm sometimes a bit grumpy ...

Even tho I should better have gone to bed immediately ...
I decided to hop into SL,to have a look at the new SR and quickly set up my store ...

big double ARF ... (did I mention that I should have gone to bed?)
First ... I like the idea with the dancefloor on the isle ... I like that there are some nice corners and stuff to discover ... tho I couldn't see much due to a lag stronger than usually ...

But what Idon't like is my shop now ...
the old Mall was generously built ... I loved the details like the stairs and the railings ... and the big window-front was so cool ... and offered an easy view on the items that were displayed ...

and now ... altho the store has prolly the same size still and more 'Wallspace' to put items on ...
it's a pain to move the cam around inside ... it's harder to watch the items from the outside ... and it gives me the 'rabbit hutch feel'.

On the other hand ... there's a nice lil graveyard right next to my store ... maybe I'll bury my shop there sooner or later ... as I don't sell anything anyway ...

I better put some effort back into RL music ...
I'm in two projects for January ... lots of rehearsing to do ... and it promises to be a hell lot of fun ...I'm so exited about it ;-))))

kk ... but now I'm really off to bed ... to hug my pillow :-)

... darn ... 3 colour-posts in a row ... it's really time for something else ...
I took quite a lot of pics during my events ... I even have some cool stuff recorded (me grins and does the ebil happy dance) ...
but I just don't find the time to put it into the right shape ...
and with the holiday season at the door ... more colours challenging ... and an even busier RL ... it won't get any better ...
So I thought I put in at least a pic of my new fav ABC-event outfit ...
The lovely Rudh sent it to me when I told her that I'm kinda bored by those 'get nekkid' events and that I rather like to dress up, wear costumes or freaky stuff ... (big big TY , Rudh ... *hugs*)

and it worked ... I swear I had my Ass and Boobies with me (ask Darien ... she peeked into the barrel and even caused an echo when shouting her hello into it), left Chest to the guys and waited for Willies to sneak in ... it definately could be the ABCW-event ... lol

oh ... and it was my first time with this ... erm ... grumble grumble ... tipboard thingies ...
I won't rant about it ... I'll get used to it and there is worse in all lifes ... and at least it gave some funny moments at the beginning when I wondered what funny profile pic my hot DJ Unicorn had ... *snigger* ...





















I guess the managment will have a fun time resetting that thing now and then ...
Anyway ... I'll always prefer the direct tips ... was lucky to still recieve them today ... and will keep tipping directly too ;-)

oh ... and before I forget ... (and now I'm back to that colour challenge again) ...
I have a PLUM idea ... but I'll need the help of a bunch of ppl for that ...
so ... when I've finished the preperations (well first I must start them ;-P ... hehe)

because I had been recording already for 22 minutes ... no wonder I was lagging .......
BUT ... thanx to that mishap I had a recording of Sundevildaddy's singing now ;-)

Where the heck ...

... is the event-schedule for Sanctuary Rock on eventful ???!!!???
I often cannot cannot get into SL during the week, but I like to know the theme of my events in time, cause I love to make matching outfits for them ...
As Thursday is my super long day at work and one friday evening usually isn't enough for creating (which is coming up with an idea and bringing it to life) ...
I was always more than happy to find the events on eventful mostly on Wednesdays already ... giving me time to fill several papers with ideas during my following lunchbreaks ...
but this Wednesday --> 10 events ... yesterday --> 1 event ... and this morning --> NOTHING ... 'no future events' ... aaaaAAAAARRRGH ...





















Glad that Guen had already sent out the daily combined ...
so I did what I hardly ever do ... I hopped into SL early in the morning before going to work, just to open the dc ...
Phew ... HALLOWEEN Party for my Friday Midnight with DJ Sun ... and MEDICAL MAYHEM for Saturday 10pm with DJ Erika ... 2 events that promise to be fun ... and I already got something in my event for them, so I can concentrate on finishing other outfits ...
Epewid is already burning to model for the Plunger outfit ... *grins*
and I guess I will get used to searching the bloody SL search for the events during the week somehow ... while still keeping an eye on eventful ... cause you never know ...
and because I'm in perfect weekend mood, the sun is still shining, coloring everything with golden shimmer with a touch of pink and I'm off for a lil bike-ride soon ...

Being LoonAtic means ... (part 2)

- getting up at 6am on a sunday morning to do a shift, almost talking and shouting to myself only (maybe SL was mean and hiding the rest of the chat) ... for a total tipping of 1L$ ... instead of staying in bed ...

- getting up on a sunday morning for some family stress ... instead of staying in bed ...

- doing a 5km run while having a cold ... inspite all the warnings from friends and family ... and wondering about a breakdown later ... instead of staying in bed ...

... but as an almost full time optimist being LoonAtic also means ...

- I'll keep getting up early on my weekend mornings to have fun at parties like this and I don't wanna miss the cool tunes from my DJs ERIKA and Sun ...

... I had the chance to dance with hubby after the party (inspite of obstacles like another dance not wanting to stop ;-P ...) ... and tomorrow Austin will be my DJ ... what a way to start a day ;-))))
