When I was zapping through the links in 'Luna's 52 colours challenge' ...
I came across Sookie Slafford's blog and her ...
MadProps Challenge ...
52 weeks again ;-)))
The challenge is about channeling your creativity and using a different prop every week in order to create a picture.

kk ... this challenge already started a bit earlier...
it's already at week 5 ... and the props up to now have been ...

but I don't even own a tv ... lol
so I bought a nice ol telly for 0L$ on the marketplace ...

and made a quick 5 MadProps Pic

'I just finished painting an umbrella-painting and wonder if I should watch some nonsense on tv ... lol...
unfortunately the giftboxes are all empty now, but they had awesome' content before ... and still make a nice deco ;-)
Now I look forward to the next 47 props I'll have to find, create or buy.

o.o ... and actually my post #300 ... wow ... didn't think I'd make it that far when I started blogging ... lol

and now Luna made us do GREEN ...
a colour that can be very festive ... or stolen from the xmas-tree ..

but I want to make it a tribute to the Green man ...
the guy that made my life green ...
the band that can still make me sad and happy at the same time with their songs ...
wearing two outfits I made long ago ...
My girlfriend's girlfriend dress and the Vinnland-Flag top & skirt ...
and I tinted my loved Fender Precision into Type O colours while virtually rocking to Anesthesia ...

... and boy ... I wish I could pose like that while playing my bass ... but I'm rather one of those shy and silent bass players (if any at all) ... lol

next week's gonna be sparkling SILVER ... guess I like that too ;-)

I wanna be an Angel ...

... when I was a kid, the teachers at school always made me 'Mother Mary' in those darn Nativity Plays ...
prolly because my name is Maria and I already got long brown hair in those days ...
But all I wanted to be was one of those lazy Angels in the background, who could wear a beautiful dress, had those gorgous wings ... and most important ... didn't need to say anything ...
Now I thought I could make this dream come true in SL ...
made me a nice dress, grabbed my wings and even a halo ... and looked out for a Nativity Scene ...
What can I say ... guess it's easier to be the ebil Snow Queen next time ;-)

Pre Xmas Fun

OMG ... it snowed today ... I mean, it really SNOWED ...
Where I live we usually get maybe 2 or 3 cm of snow in 1 or 2 weeks a year ...
Today alone we got 15 cm ... and it had already snowed the days before ...
I saw Talis' view onto the Winter world today ...
So I thought I'd share my view out of my window with you (taken this afternoon) ...
I so love snow ;-)))

Funny how the snowflakes look in flashlight ... like 'full bright' activated ;-P
Too bad it started raining now ...
and forcast says my chances for a white Xmas are rather low ;-(

Talking of Xmas ... I got 2 presents today already ...
and ... spank me ... I could not resist opening them ...
Now isn't that cute ... Hellbone turned me into Mini-Rudolph ...
and Rudh gave me a matching reindeer-friend ;-)))

CERISE is french for cherry ...
I wonder why CERISE is kinda PINK ...
where I live cherries are RED ...
anyway ... lets have a pic with tasty cherries ... erm ... I mean ... CERISE ...

Arf ... I had forgotten to light the third candle here in my blog ...
Maybe because I'm still not in any holiday season whatever mood ...
maybe I hoped I'd get an extra week squeezed in before Xmas hits us ...

Erst eins, dann zwei, dann drei, dann vier ...

Guess that won't happen to me ...
I'll never reach a fifth candle if I keep on forgetting the others ;-P

erm ... maybe I shouldn't say anthing ...

... about the once again remodeled Sanctuary Rock ...
but when I come home after a very long day I'm sometimes a bit grumpy ...

Even tho I should better have gone to bed immediately ...
I decided to hop into SL,to have a look at the new SR and quickly set up my store ...

big double ARF ... (did I mention that I should have gone to bed?)
First ... I like the idea with the dancefloor on the isle ... I like that there are some nice corners and stuff to discover ... tho I couldn't see much due to a lag stronger than usually ...

But what Idon't like is my shop now ...
the old Mall was generously built ... I loved the details like the stairs and the railings ... and the big window-front was so cool ... and offered an easy view on the items that were displayed ...

and now ... altho the store has prolly the same size still and more 'Wallspace' to put items on ...
it's a pain to move the cam around inside ... it's harder to watch the items from the outside ... and it gives me the 'rabbit hutch feel'.

On the other hand ... there's a nice lil graveyard right next to my store ... maybe I'll bury my shop there sooner or later ... as I don't sell anything anyway ...

I better put some effort back into RL music ...
I'm in two projects for January ... lots of rehearsing to do ... and it promises to be a hell lot of fun ...I'm so exited about it ;-))))

kk ... but now I'm really off to bed ... to hug my pillow :-)

No '52 colours - #4 - Plum' ...

... at least not yet ...

Darn ... I missed out on PLUM ...
Purple isn't exactly my colour, but I love plums.
So I wanted to present a tasty plum cake to you ...
a kinda living one ;-P
But I simply ran out of time for the preperations ...
- baking the cake
- creating the poses
- desingning the outfits
- decorating the scene
- and inviting some smexy friends
just too much for the pre holiday season
and another challenge I'm in and that I cannot miss out: RL
But I started it ... and one day I'll finish it ...
my '52 colours - #4 - Plum' - post will be done sometime in the new year ... promised

for now see me crying in my unfinished set, wearing my plum tinted LacyStuff and having nightmares of plum cakes running away from me ;-P

oh ... and btw. SEPIA is on my mind already too ... this time I keep it less complicated ;-P

I'm trying to get into the spirit while xmas is surprisingly and adamantly getting nearer ...

... darn ... 3 colour-posts in a row ... it's really time for something else ...
I took quite a lot of pics during my events ... I even have some cool stuff recorded (me grins and does the ebil happy dance) ...
but I just don't find the time to put it into the right shape ...
and with the holiday season at the door ... more colours challenging ... and an even busier RL ... it won't get any better ...
So I thought I put in at least a pic of my new fav ABC-event outfit ...
The lovely Rudh sent it to me when I told her that I'm kinda bored by those 'get nekkid' events and that I rather like to dress up, wear costumes or freaky stuff ... (big big TY , Rudh ... *hugs*)

and it worked ... I swear I had my Ass and Boobies with me (ask Darien ... she peeked into the barrel and even caused an echo when shouting her hello into it), left Chest to the guys and waited for Willies to sneak in ... it definately could be the ABCW-event ... lol

oh ... and it was my first time with this ... erm ... grumble grumble ... tipboard thingies ...
I won't rant about it ... I'll get used to it and there is worse in all lifes ... and at least it gave some funny moments at the beginning when I wondered what funny profile pic my hot DJ Unicorn had ... *snigger* ...





















I guess the managment will have a fun time resetting that thing now and then ...
Anyway ... I'll always prefer the direct tips ... was lucky to still recieve them today ... and will keep tipping directly too ;-)

oh ... and before I forget ... (and now I'm back to that colour challenge again) ...
I have a PLUM idea ... but I'll need the help of a bunch of ppl for that ...
so ... when I've finished the preperations (well first I must start them ;-P ... hehe)
I might shout out for you or anybody near and willing ... and then I hope I won't shout into Nirvana ... lol

52 colours - #3 - Goldenrod

so it's time for the 3rd colour of those 52 that Luna Jubilee so lovely presents to us every Saturday ...
Goldenrod was the choice of the week ... and it's the first tough one for me already ...
especially as I had to look up this funny word first.
Me pea brain thought we were supposed to do something golden and I already had lots of ideas for it ...
but nooooo ... Goldenrod is a kind of yellow ... named after this nice plant:
















And those who have seen me at the bumblebee event in Sanct lately know that yellow is hörrör for me ... *grins* ...
I don't have any yellow stuff in RL and in SL it's not better ... I simply tint my white things yellow when needed ...
But I don't do that for a challenge .... lol
So I spend my busrides and lunchbreaks and more to think of an outfit and an idea for the pic ...
I fought with damn alpha problems and pixelated letters, with layers and glow ... I spent ages to find the right location again and I googled for Goldenrod poems ... lol
And guess what ... not only that I had a lot of fun doing so ...
I discovered yellow for me, which means I'll prolly hop around in that shirt a lot ;-) ...
I discovered a nice place (I really get into rezzing at strange places and exploring)

On roadsides,

Nah ... actually I had a lil trouble with the pics ...
first to get them arranged ... and then to get them uploaded ...
the original pic is 1600x2800 pixel ... and got resized to less than half of it ...
making the text unreadable ... damn it ...

Today I wondered ... WHY, damn it, WHY do I have such a bad LAG ...
kk ... I'm on my small netbook cause the big laptop wasn't available ...
but THAT BAD ??!!??
I kinda gave in ... moved as little as possible ... watched the (still) speedy chat ... trying to greet and react somehow ... and enjoyed DJ SDD's tunes and ... his singing ... *grins* ...
damn ... I had tried to record him earlier in that event ... now it seemed impossible to even hit the 'record' button ...
... the record button ?? ... why was that damn button BLUE ??
because I had been recording already for 22 minutes ... no wonder I was lagging .......
BUT ... thanx to that mishap I had a recording of Sundevildaddy's singing now ;-)
that was worth any lag !!! ... ENJOY ;-))


guess I gotta change the setting for the audio-recoder somehow ... you can hear me typing there ... sorry ... lol
