... when I started to play bass about 30 years ago (OMG ... that long ago !!!), I did so because it had only for strings ... easier than 6 strings to manage for a pea brain like me ;-)
I never became a good bass player, but I always had ... and still have lots of fun with my good old '79 Fender Bass ;-)
And when I look at all the cool bass players I got to know over the years (and I'm even married to a bass player ... *grins*) ... I must say, they are quite special somehow ... in a very positive way ...
well ... let's have a tasty beer on all the cool bass players ...
and listen to Metallica's bassman Cliff Burton ... who was taken away way too early
